The work is made by manually burning paper with a soldering iron. The shapes correspond to silhouettes of leaves, branches and seeds of “Pinus radiata”, one of the main species of tree used in the forest industry in Chile. Many native forests in Chile have been replaced with 2 species of tree which have a direct relation with the increasing forest fires, the biggest one yet happened in 2017.
