Enrique Ramírez sees this work as his self-portrait. The photo shows a hand holding up, like a talisman, a stone whose shape suggests the South American continent. The photograph was taken on the island of Ouessant. Sentinel to the five lighthouses, the Breton island, the most western land of France, multi-faceted, lined with reefs and reefs, swept by the winds, is the first land but also the first lights that sailors see from South America. This stone also refers to the South American uprisings.
