Taabu Munyoki

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Taabu Munyoki obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kenyatta University in 2019, with a major in graphic design and minors in painting and sculpture. She believes that art is a form of expression of situations around her. Born in Nairobi and raised in a Christian household, Munyoki was exposed to urban life from a young age, which has believes influences the way people relate to each other and the world around them. She has shown her work at Circle Art Gallery in Nairobi; Mitochondria Gallery in Houston, Texas, USA; the National Museum of Nairobi; One Off Gallery in Nairobi and in 2018 in the group exhibition “Early 21st Century Young African Artists” at Saatchi Gallery in London. She also participated in a residency in 2019 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
